For many years, Monext has been assisting Keytrade Bank in the management of its Visa credit cards and the related real-time functionalities: selecting a PIN code, managing payment ceilings, blocking/unblocking on-line payments, etc.
Following on from these services, Monext has rolled out a connection to the Bancontact network, the well-known domestic payment scheme in Belgium, thereby enabling Keytrade Bank to offer its Belgian cardholders access to its main functionalities.
Mission accomplished for Monext, which has added to its range of services the ability to issue domestic cards in Belgium.
“Already active in several countries, we have consolidated our position as a European industry player by extending our services in Belgium. This new connection to the Bancontact domestic scheme has stepped up our expertise which has been leveraged by Keytrade Bank’s card services on its market”, explains Guillaume Prin, Chairman of Monext’s Executive Board.
“Opening up the Belgian market for card services was a challenge for both our teams, but we are glad we chose Monext to connect all our cardholders to the Bancontact network. Monext gives us both freedom and independence, while improving competition on the Belgian market”, comments Thierry Ternier, CEO of Keytrade Bank.
“We are very keen to welcome Monext’s recent connection of Keytrade cards to the Bancontact network”, notes Nathalie Vandepeute, CEO of Bancontact Payconiq Company. “Our partner ecosystem has been extended significantly thanks to this development”.
